According to elder peoples, BABA MATI JI , the elder brother was half way through marriage rituals, when he was called upon by a Brahmin lady to protect her villagers from Muslim marauders, who were slaughtering cows. BABA MATI JI, in accordance with RAJPUT principles, which prioritized duty before all other matters, left the marriage half-way along with his followers to stop the massacre. BABA MATI JI succeeded in his mission, but fell martyr. He lost his head, but continued to fight. IT WAS A GODLY MIRACLE. Chasing the enemy, Baba Mati Ji felt martyr in what is today it is called Daroli kalan.
